"Let every individual and institution now think and act as a responsible trustee of Earth, seeking choices in ecology, economics and ethics that will provide a sustainable future, eliminate pollution, poverty and violence, awaken the wonder of life and foster peaceful progress in the human adventure."
- John McConnell, founder of International Earth Day
RIGHT NOW, and then again tomorrow and then again the next day and on it goes day after day,
1/2 OF THE WORLD lives on LESS THAN 2 DOLLARS each day.
Psalm 27:4
One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.
Do all you can and don't worry about the odds against you. Wield the miracle of life's energy, never worrying whether we fail, concerned only that whether we fail or succeed we do so with all our might. That's all we need to know to feel certain that all our force of diligent effort is worth our while on Earth.

Yesterday marked Tuki's 6th anniversary since coming home. Even though it was pleasant, she did tell me I "ruined" it for her since I had to yell at her for acting her usual tired naughty self...never a dull moment with this young lady, but she sure is a joy when she isn't telling someone else what to do. LOL
7 months old, look at that face, she knew her mind even back then and she didn't like the idea of kayaking!! Can you tell?
Still pretty in pink with an even BIGGER attitude...Lord help me, but boy do I LOVE this girl!!
My brother Wayne got married this past weekend. The girls, cousin N with Wayne and Judy

on the ground this morning.
but soccer for Ve and Tuki and track for Mim has begun. Mim won the open 400 at last night's meet and would have won the open 200 if she had taken off immediately when the gun went off. Tuki is actually playing soccer this year rather than picking dandelions like she did several years ago and Ve is learning to play positions and that frustrates her because she can't be with the ball at all times which is what she loves....oh well, it is rough growing up.
I planted another 3 flats of vegetable seeds for the garden, we went for our family bike ride tonight and get this, I actually ran this morning...and it felt GREAT, fat and all, after attempting it about a year ago, but I pushed too hard and messed up my feet again, but since I have been working out for the last 8 months, my cardiovascular strength is good so I can keep track of how far I can push my feet without messing them up again.....I swear I'll back to my running yet, even if it kills me..just kidding
was great, Easter was awesome, Easter was soothing, but even the best laid plans of keeping the candy to an all time low didn't work. The Easter Bunny came between midnight and 2:00am (darn guilty conscience), plus friends and family overindulged the girls with MUCH candy...so they got candy, bikes and soon a keyboard.....OI VEY!!! BUT the girls have been so good that I have not had to take any away as I did last year...goes to prove the most effective consequences only need to come around once...and hopefully never again. no pictures....
Ve crossing the floating logs on her own

again the girls in the lazy river

All the girls before their big debut (Mim wasn't in skating but Tuki, Cousin N and Ve were)
The weekend was busy, magical and glorious. They all want to do it again next year. Mim even was interested until she found out her skating ability would place her into Ve and Tuki's class.
Poor Mim, due to the fact that she came home at 12 1/2 years old, she is always playing catch-up with skill related sports.
