 this meet she ran the open 100, 200 & 400 but this year her best race has been part of the 4X400-hopefully her relay team qualifies for State

 our new pumpkin patch
All the pumpkins, sizes range from pie pumpkins all the way to supposed 300lb pumpkins, have been planted into the patch.
See all the comfrey and tiger lillies? (planted by the previous owner) The goal is for the pumpkins to grow over all the invasive species that have taken over the wetland area. The pumpkins do this by growing like monsters, so large and massive, that they prevent the invasive species from undergoing photosynthesis, thus killing them out.
Once the pumpkins have been established for about a month or 6 weeks, we will remove the poles and netting. The space on both sides of the pumpkin patch will eventually be all pumpkins, which by the way are annuals so they won't self seed. See the brown ground to the left of the patch on the third photo? That is where we planted the pumpkins last year and they killed out all the other vegetation, thus giving us the idea for "Operation Invasive Control" We will keep you posted.

hostas transplanted away from the free-ranging chickens. I cut grass for the first time during this summer season and I only had to cut half the lawn since the fowl had the other half well grazed.

WE are going to Florida

A friend of mine gave us a time share. We choose Florida for the dates of Aug 14 - 21. We are excited!!!  I purchased the tickets today, 265.00 each...a great price if you ask me.

I passed my second Master's Exam, and I have been applying for  a ton of admin jobs all over the state. No interviews yet...:(

I have been hired as a summer school principal and summer school swim coordinator. Both leadership experiences and I get paid for it.

Mim has been doing great at Hardees and is now applying for a few jobs for the summer.

She won her 800 m race the other night in track in 2:41 indoors, which is pretty darn great since that is only 3 second slower than she ran last year outdoors later in the season.

Her 4 x 4 relay team won the race for the conference meet.

Ve's BB season was extended but is now over, sooner than I thought due to an incident that she was involved in at school, not her fault, but as always she compounded it by lying. 

Tuki just finished up her latest drama. She was a goon in Sleeping beauty. It was a big deal to her because she was given her own microphone for the first time ever.

Ve's HOOPs season....now onto the extended SPRING SEASON

We finished as a TEAM 33-14!  That was with a 5-7 start prior to January 1st.  After January 1st OUR girls accumulated a 28-7 (that's 80%!) record TOGETHER!

Again, we do it the hard way by splitting our TEAMS and rotating the rosters for each tournament.  That makes the accomplishment even more impressive for OUR girls.

Now as we move to the off-season it will be up to each and every player to get to camp, the gym and the driveway to continue to improve their skills as individuals to make our TEAM even stronger.  NEVER settle and NEVER think you are "there."  There is always room to improve as a player and a person!

We want to thank you for a GREAT season!  The Parent TEAM support was incredible for OUR ladies.  This is a wonderful group of kids to work with and be around!!!
