"Let every individual and institution now think and act as a responsible trustee of Earth, seeking choices in ecology, economics and ethics that will provide a sustainable future, eliminate pollution, poverty and violence, awaken the wonder of life and foster peaceful progress in the human adventure."
- John McConnell, founder of International Earth Day

RIGHT NOW, and then again tomorrow and then again the next day and on it goes day after day,
1/2 OF THE WORLD lives on LESS THAN 2 DOLLARS each day.

Psalm 27:4
One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.
Do all you can and don't worry about the odds against you. Wield the miracle of life's energy, never worrying whether we fail, concerned only that whether we fail or succeed we do so with all our might. That's all we need to know to feel certain that all our force of diligent effort is worth our while on Earth.

More catching up

PUMPKIN patch above

I transplanted hostas, bleeding hearts, rhubarb etc and then we planted the garden under 2 hours...we have been having a great gardening experience this year.

Running club track meet for Tuk & Ve in preparation for the elementary track meet and Outdoor Conference for Mim. Tuki & Ve ran the 400, 200, 100 & mile. Tuki also competed in the long jump & shot put. Mim competed in the 4x2 & 4x4.

Look who is turning 18 TODAY.!!!!
It seems so fast, we have only been together for 5 1/2 years. You have one year left of high school and onto college into the next chapter in your life. Talyn you truly are an amazing young lady in all you have done in such a short time. Turning 18 is a scary milestone, but look all you have done. I am VERY proud of all your accomplishments, and I look forward to how you will navigate from here on out. Your future looks bright because you are the diamond that will bring light to where ever you go!!! smile emoticon Keep your sense of humor and your drive for more, because there is so much "MORE" more to be discovered!!!

Out to eat at her favorite restaurant, Golden Corral, with family. Surprise visit from cousin Chris . He flew in for a few days to speak at the graduation ceremony for SPASH seniors and to offer Mim inspiration and running tips for the upcoming Track Regional & Sectionals in hopes of qualifying for State. Then off to the purchase of car "doodads" to pretty up her car and make it her own....
It was a great day all around!!! Thank you family for making her day special!!!!

Today Ve did the tug-of-war and the cross country run which was 1 1/4 mile. I am not sure exactly, but I think she placed 4th overall, but more importantly she took a full minute off her time from the Running Club meet..now on to tomorrow in which she will run the 400, 200, 100 & the coed 4X100 relay..big day!!!

The last few weeks have been rough, very rough for various reasons, but the last few days more than made up for it. It amazes me how content and satisfied I feel to see my daughters' accomplish some of their goals. Ve ended up placing in all of her events from the elementary track meet except the tug-of-war. Her best place was first for the 100m. Tuki did amazing at her fist piano recital, she was nervous but ended up playing like a pro, and the SPASH relay, 4X4 that Mim runs on placed first at Regionals, so on to Sectionals this Friday night....it has been a great 2 days!!!!
