I spent the first 8 weeks functioning as the my school District's Swim Coordinator and McKinley elementary school Principal. The the last 4 weeks we went north to Minocqua to a cabin with Brenda and Wendy and their kids. In addition then we worked on the garden and finally we went to southern Florida (Everglades, Sanibel Island & Key West) for the last week. I had 5 interviews for an administration position. I didn't get a job but I felt I learned to interview as an administrator.
The girls were busy with basketball camps, theater, running, summer school and swimming.
They are now getting ready for school. Mim is a senior, Ve is a 6th grader and Tuki is a 4th grader. Mim is running cross country, Ve & Tuki will be doing basketball, theater and track for the upcoming school year.
We also rehabilitated two songbirds and one gray squirrel and in the spring purchased 15 more chicks to replace the old girls that we were losing. A pair of red fox frequented our yard this year and we lost 4 ducks to it before we realized what was going on...three were Call ducks and 1 Muscovy
