Tuki is home sick today so I am home too.
I figured I need to make a post to at least to acknowledge that it is February.
I actually have this weekend off from classes. For the insane reason that I always need to be focused and "get er done" mentality, I registered for 7 credits of classes this semester in addition to teaching full time, parenting full time etc., etc., That means I am gone two weekends and in March three weekends to attend classes. Will I be able to keep this pace, will our family be able to keep this pace is questionable.. If I find that it is too much I plan to take less credits each semester in the future.
The outside temp is predicted to hit around 40 degrees today and over 40 tomorrow...WOW, I DO love this winter.
There is much talk in the air among fellow gardeners about the types of plants that will grow in our gardens...
Ok I am off to attend to Tuki's needs and then off to feed and water the chickens. Later I plan to work on homework, read a little and maybe if all is well with Tuki, then take a little nap.....
"Let every individual and institution now think and act as a responsible trustee of Earth, seeking choices in ecology, economics and ethics that will provide a sustainable future, eliminate pollution, poverty and violence, awaken the wonder of life and foster peaceful progress in the human adventure."

RIGHT NOW, and then again tomorrow and then again the next day and on it goes day after day,
1/2 OF THE WORLD lives on LESS THAN 2 DOLLARS each day.
1/2 OF THE WORLD lives on LESS THAN 2 DOLLARS each day.
Psalm 27:4
One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.
One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.
Do all you can and don't worry about the odds against you. Wield the miracle of life's energy, never worrying whether we fail, concerned only that whether we fail or succeed we do so with all our might. That's all we need to know to feel certain that all our force of diligent effort is worth our while on Earth.

Hope Miss Tuki is feeling better. And that YOU got yourself a little nap! I agree, this winter has been quite enjoyable so far. Expecting mid 70's down here this weekend and the azaleas are already blooming. Hopefully there won't be any late freezes that kill all the early Spring beauty.
