"Let every individual and institution now think and act as a responsible trustee of Earth, seeking choices in ecology, economics and ethics that will provide a sustainable future, eliminate pollution, poverty and violence, awaken the wonder of life and foster peaceful progress in the human adventure."
- John McConnell, founder of International Earth Day

RIGHT NOW, and then again tomorrow and then again the next day and on it goes day after day,
1/2 OF THE WORLD lives on LESS THAN 2 DOLLARS each day.

Psalm 27:4
One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.
Do all you can and don't worry about the odds against you. Wield the miracle of life's energy, never worrying whether we fail, concerned only that whether we fail or succeed we do so with all our might. That's all we need to know to feel certain that all our force of diligent effort is worth our while on Earth.

Thyroid Update

Thyroid level, 2.11, my current doc insists since it is in the normal range I am fine. I tell her no, I want it lower since this is NOT working for me. She won't listen to me. So I am seeing an endocrinologist on September 3rd, a thyroid re-check on Aug 20th and getting a 2nd opinion on Aug 23rd.

In my research I have found out there are two camps of philosophy about managing thyroid disease among doctors.
Camp 1 - as long it is in normal range, you the patient are fine, period!
Camp 2 - it doesn't matter what the total thyroid number is, if it isn't working for you, we will get it to the level that is BEST for you, the patient.

My first doc, the first camp..she's outta here as far as I am concerned. My new doc, because I specifically requested one with this philosophy, is in the the 2nd camp. I feel better just knowing someone will listen to me. I also went to see my foot therapist AGAIN, and he definitely stated that my heel problem/pain (not enough padding) is linked to my weight gain...which BTW was close to 20 lbs in 1 year...now you see why I and my heels are freaked!!!!

I also found out that thyroid disease runs in my family. My sister and my nephew (runner) are both dealing with hypothyroid as well......

My sister is on the hypothyroid-perimenopause roller coaster. It is not fun - for any of us! She finally found a nurse practitioner who specializes in hormone therapies - all kinds! Hoping that she can find a balance soon. And hoping the same for you!
