You may have noticed that I cleaned up my blog. I deleted blogs that I no longer read and added blogs and websites that I frequent.
The ones I am frequenting more are the naturalist, wildlife blogs and sites, one of my main loves. I deleted many adoption blogs, not because we are no longer a family of adoption (obviously) but because adoption is not our main topic anymore. Now don't get me wrong, we do talk of it all the time, probably daily, it is who we are and how we became a family, but it isn't that all consuming issue in our life. I know that many blogs discuss adoption issues often, some because the issue is front and center simply because one or several of their children are dealing with major traumatic issues. It is there, in their family daily. How can it not be, anything that disrupts the peace takes front and center. Other blogs seem to like to keep abreast of the adoption communities, the political state and ethics of it all, is is right?, is it wrong?. We don't do either, Ve is my most traumatized child and yet her issues are pretty minor compared to most and usually manageable, I say usually because her O behaviors do rear their ugly head now and then. And well, to discuss the ethics, well I really don't think I am qualified simply because I would be speaking from an affluent, tummy full, basic needs met on a daily basis, have all I need etc., so I really don't feel qualified to discuss all the ins and outs of it all because I don't know all the ins and outs of it all. Plus I have lived long enough to realize that most people's view (mine too) of most any topic is sided to the extreme one way or the other and the truth usually lies somewhere in between.
So we are moving on with our lives into the typical daily routine, transporting kids to their perspective places, keeping the house running smoothly, work on improving education and planning for summer fun. Dare I say we are rather routine, maybe even boring and that may be the biggest issue of all, a restlessness to move on to our next adventure. But we don't know what it is yet!!! So we stay tuned for further fun!!! LOL
Oh yes, we are still waiting for our IRS return and so Kiki is still being patient and lending us his car. As others have stated..."he truly is a GREAT friend!!"
"Let every individual and institution now think and act as a responsible trustee of Earth, seeking choices in ecology, economics and ethics that will provide a sustainable future, eliminate pollution, poverty and violence, awaken the wonder of life and foster peaceful progress in the human adventure."

RIGHT NOW, and then again tomorrow and then again the next day and on it goes day after day,
1/2 OF THE WORLD lives on LESS THAN 2 DOLLARS each day.
1/2 OF THE WORLD lives on LESS THAN 2 DOLLARS each day.
Psalm 27:4
One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.
One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.
Do all you can and don't worry about the odds against you. Wield the miracle of life's energy, never worrying whether we fail, concerned only that whether we fail or succeed we do so with all our might. That's all we need to know to feel certain that all our force of diligent effort is worth our while on Earth.
