"Let every individual and institution now think and act as a responsible trustee of Earth, seeking choices in ecology, economics and ethics that will provide a sustainable future, eliminate pollution, poverty and violence, awaken the wonder of life and foster peaceful progress in the human adventure."
- John McConnell, founder of International Earth Day

RIGHT NOW, and then again tomorrow and then again the next day and on it goes day after day,
1/2 OF THE WORLD lives on LESS THAN 2 DOLLARS each day.

Psalm 27:4
One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.
Do all you can and don't worry about the odds against you. Wield the miracle of life's energy, never worrying whether we fail, concerned only that whether we fail or succeed we do so with all our might. That's all we need to know to feel certain that all our force of diligent effort is worth our while on Earth.

Summer fun

I took pictures around our yard again
 One of our Chinchillas- Hopper
 His buddy Cadbury
 Some of our Serama Chicks
 Some more
The chicken coop outdoor run...chickens really wipe out all the green vegetation
so we built a grass garden tonight (read the idea on-line). The grass will grow through the wire, the chickens will eat at it, but will not be able to pull out the roots thus allowing the grass to continue to grow. The two turtle tubs in the background are for the ducks.
our garden, tomato row with straw placed to combat the weeds. Since I have tilled the chicken manure in, it has really fed the weeds as well as our veggie plants

this is the other end of the garden, another idea of placing feed bags held in place with rocks between the rows to combat the weeds, another idea from on line and since we have nearly a million feed bags, we gave it a try...DON"T LIKE IT...the bags move too much even with rocks as anchors and it just looks ugly, so we will be getting more straw bales for this end a s well. It takes about 9 - 10 bales of straw....

another view that includes the beans as well as the tomatoes, and knock on wood, so far no wildlife damage to any of our plants...YEAH!!!
 more softball pics-Ve
 Tuki
both at last night's game warming up
 in the dug out
Mim has now also joined a team and last night was her first night as well...it was a long night but enjoyable to see all my girls enjoying themselves!!
