"Let every individual and institution now think and act as a responsible trustee of Earth, seeking choices in ecology, economics and ethics that will provide a sustainable future, eliminate pollution, poverty and violence, awaken the wonder of life and foster peaceful progress in the human adventure."
- John McConnell, founder of International Earth Day

RIGHT NOW, and then again tomorrow and then again the next day and on it goes day after day,
1/2 OF THE WORLD lives on LESS THAN 2 DOLLARS each day.

Psalm 27:4
One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.
Do all you can and don't worry about the odds against you. Wield the miracle of life's energy, never worrying whether we fail, concerned only that whether we fail or succeed we do so with all our might. That's all we need to know to feel certain that all our force of diligent effort is worth our while on Earth.

FFF - Sun wakes up

My best summer memory is the sun wakes up discussion with Tuks every day!!!!!!!

Tuks has gained this uncanny sense of the time of day and night. She notices when the sun is out and and when the moon is out. We say in the morning, "The sun is awake and the moon went to sleep", and then at night we say just the opposite,
"It is dark outside, so the sun went to sleep and the moon is awake". Actually I think she leads this discussion each and every day, and always at least twice each day.

Lately, probably the last week, our owl has been vocalizing quite a bit all night long..she does this every year. Well the owl's outside enclosure is about 20 feet from Tuks bedroom window so she hears the owl all night long. So now, when she states that the moon is awake, she also states "The owl will be talking".

We have even created a song to sing in the mornings....

Good morning dear sun
Good morning dear sun
we're happy you're here
to bring us such cheer
and brighten our day.........

then this is quickly followed up with

Thank you Lord
Thank you Jesus
Thank you Lord
Thank you Jesus
Thank you Lord
Thank you Jesus
Thank you Our Lord
for making our sun
for making our earth
for giving us life....

we sing this many, many times every morning on the way to Angie's school.

By the time she arrives at Angie's school and I arrive at work, we are both smiling and laughing ready to meet our day with very cheerful attitudes...It is great!!!
