"Let every individual and institution now think and act as a responsible trustee of Earth, seeking choices in ecology, economics and ethics that will provide a sustainable future, eliminate pollution, poverty and violence, awaken the wonder of life and foster peaceful progress in the human adventure."
- John McConnell, founder of International Earth Day

RIGHT NOW, and then again tomorrow and then again the next day and on it goes day after day,
1/2 OF THE WORLD lives on LESS THAN 2 DOLLARS each day.

Psalm 27:4
One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.
Do all you can and don't worry about the odds against you. Wield the miracle of life's energy, never worrying whether we fail, concerned only that whether we fail or succeed we do so with all our might. That's all we need to know to feel certain that all our force of diligent effort is worth our while on Earth.

subclinical hypothyroidism

That's what I have. I have been struggling with weight gain since about 2003. I had my thyroid level checked then, but my doc said no, it's OK. Then I went in again this Monday, due to the weight gain, and a whole ton of other peri-menopausal symptoms. The new gyno doc (female) decides to check my thyroid again and lo and behold I do have a faulty thyroid, tho mildly. So I went on the Internet and checked it out and saw that many doctors don't treat it when it is in the sub clinical stage.. So I am guessing my other doc (male) didn't feel it was worth treating even tho I have been complaining of the same symptoms for 6 years now. Good to know I am not crazy.
So tomorrow I start on a low dose of meds to help out the situation and then need to re-check in 4 - 6 weeks. Hopefully, now I will actually see some results from all my exercising, among other things...!!!LOL

Hmmm, that's interesting. I'm so glad you got that figured out. Is being tired one of the symptoms? I've had my iron levels and thyroid checked, but have been told it's not either of those. Sounds like your new doctor is a keeper!

Welcome to my world. Mine was WAY up there so there was no doubt once they tested me. It took a year to get the medicine and the dose right. It is kind of a relief to know there is actually an issue and it can be treated and things will get better, dont ya think? I'm glad you found the right doctor. It makes all the difference.

Isn't it nice to have your symptoms validated.
