"Let every individual and institution now think and act as a responsible trustee of Earth, seeking choices in ecology, economics and ethics that will provide a sustainable future, eliminate pollution, poverty and violence, awaken the wonder of life and foster peaceful progress in the human adventure."
- John McConnell, founder of International Earth Day

RIGHT NOW, and then again tomorrow and then again the next day and on it goes day after day,
1/2 OF THE WORLD lives on LESS THAN 2 DOLLARS each day.

Psalm 27:4
One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.
Do all you can and don't worry about the odds against you. Wield the miracle of life's energy, never worrying whether we fail, concerned only that whether we fail or succeed we do so with all our might. That's all we need to know to feel certain that all our force of diligent effort is worth our while on Earth.

Two Years Today

Ve has been home. Last night and this morning we ate those coconut snowballs. Ve loves coconut, she likes to tell how she and Mim ate it in Haiti.

Ve has grown S00000, SOOOOO, SOOOOOO much in two years. As I have stated before, sometimes it almost seems she is a different child. Ve and Mim talk quite often how Ve was a wild child at the O, and wild child she was upon homecoming. We went thru the stuff over the last two years, but I can honestly say that Ve not only knows right from wrong, she really does strive to do right. That says ALOT. I can honestly say and believe that Ve has taken such a turn that I feel if she continues on her new path, then she will be quite a successful and impressive young lady. Her goals are to work hard, get her homework done and done well and learn all that she can. This a HUGE step for her since she use to resist all forms of learning in the past. Her usual statements about herself run along the lines of "I am smart", "I am good at Math", "I am a good reader" .....notice a shift in her confidence. This shift has made all the difference in the world!! Love ya Ve!! Happy 2 year Veve!!!
