"Let every individual and institution now think and act as a responsible trustee of Earth, seeking choices in ecology, economics and ethics that will provide a sustainable future, eliminate pollution, poverty and violence, awaken the wonder of life and foster peaceful progress in the human adventure."
- John McConnell, founder of International Earth Day

RIGHT NOW, and then again tomorrow and then again the next day and on it goes day after day,
1/2 OF THE WORLD lives on LESS THAN 2 DOLLARS each day.

Psalm 27:4
One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.
Do all you can and don't worry about the odds against you. Wield the miracle of life's energy, never worrying whether we fail, concerned only that whether we fail or succeed we do so with all our might. That's all we need to know to feel certain that all our force of diligent effort is worth our while on Earth.

Summer Fun

Tuks has been praying to Jesus with me every night. We hold hands, and then I pray. Lately, Tuks takes my hands again and says she wants to pray to Jesus. She prays holding my hands and Bear bear's hands, and I hear her say Jesus, Einie, Bear bear, Mama etc., and then finally, Amen. It is so cute, and I am not sure of all she is saying, but I know the Lord does and he loves the heart of an innocent and trusting child.

Her behavior is so much improved, I think we have turned a corner. If she starts acting up, I can now reason with her and relay possible consequences, and it stops her in her tracks. My baby is growing up!!

I have also been making fresh salads from our garden about every other day and she insists on helping me wash it off. She even knows the difference between the good lettuce and various other vegetation mixed in. She will hold the "other" stuff up and ask "Mama, does this go in the garbage" And you know, she is right every time. She also loves to eat the lettuce as she is cleaning it. The weather has been so wet,
and cool this summer, that my broccoli, beans, tomatoes, and onions may be a huge flop. I am just starting to get some cucumbers, carrots are coming, squash is growing and the tomatoes are just flowering.....

What is the saying "the best laid plans........"
