"Let every individual and institution now think and act as a responsible trustee of Earth, seeking choices in ecology, economics and ethics that will provide a sustainable future, eliminate pollution, poverty and violence, awaken the wonder of life and foster peaceful progress in the human adventure."
- John McConnell, founder of International Earth Day

RIGHT NOW, and then again tomorrow and then again the next day and on it goes day after day,
1/2 OF THE WORLD lives on LESS THAN 2 DOLLARS each day.

Psalm 27:4
One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.
Do all you can and don't worry about the odds against you. Wield the miracle of life's energy, never worrying whether we fail, concerned only that whether we fail or succeed we do so with all our might. That's all we need to know to feel certain that all our force of diligent effort is worth our while on Earth.

Two men wrapped around her bitten finger

This weekend was once again event filled. Saturday morning we went to the Y, and then in the afternoon we went to see the horse from this post at her new home. Tuks was bit in the thumb by the horse as she was eagerly grabbing grass. Don't worry Tuks is fine, and I would imagine has permanently learned the lesson of presenting food to a horse with an open palm, and not a clenched fist. I tried to teach her this many times but it was to no avail until the bite. Remarkably, even after being bitten Tuks wanted to go for another horseback ride on a different horse.. Today we went to church and then in the afternoon we attended a picnic at Kiki's home. Kiki has had a guest, D from Uganda, who has been here for the last two weeks studying remote sensing under Kiki's tutorial at the university. He will be in the USA one more week before returning home. As you can tell by the photos, Tuks had both of them wrapped around her fingers. She LOVED playing with them....I enjoyed watching the joy on her face!!!

She is so cute! Looks like it was a fun weekend. And good for Tuks for getting back on a horse after being bitten. Such a bug, brave girl.
