"Let every individual and institution now think and act as a responsible trustee of Earth, seeking choices in ecology, economics and ethics that will provide a sustainable future, eliminate pollution, poverty and violence, awaken the wonder of life and foster peaceful progress in the human adventure."
- John McConnell, founder of International Earth Day

RIGHT NOW, and then again tomorrow and then again the next day and on it goes day after day,
1/2 OF THE WORLD lives on LESS THAN 2 DOLLARS each day.

Psalm 27:4
One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.
Do all you can and don't worry about the odds against you. Wield the miracle of life's energy, never worrying whether we fail, concerned only that whether we fail or succeed we do so with all our might. That's all we need to know to feel certain that all our force of diligent effort is worth our while on Earth.

Around the "Farm" in the city

Insulating the coop walls with the old feed bags..finally we have found a use after many years of looking..I just couldn't in good faith throw the old ones away to eventually end up in a landfill..never to decompose.
another view from the inside looking out the door
from the outside--eventually we will cover this will polycarbonate sheets that shade the feed bags from view.
Matilda, our chocolate Muscovy hen has adopted an orphan wild mallard ducking that was brought to us by a local wildlife agent this past Sunday.
Louise, one of our original 10 hens that are now 4 years old..pretty old for a chicken.
Second stage, the bagged walls are now covered with a heavy insulating tarp that I had for years.....also our newly built perches from recycled materials. The hens aren't sure of them yet..taking their time in using them.
here they are hanging outside because they don't like the "new" look to their coops.
Hanging out in the middle coop because we hadn't built the new perches in this coop by yesterday evening...and this is the one this group of birds usually sleep in.
Omar....in the back out Muscovy drake...he is quite the character
Copper.our Campine..just because I think she is beautiful
