"Let every individual and institution now think and act as a responsible trustee of Earth, seeking choices in ecology, economics and ethics that will provide a sustainable future, eliminate pollution, poverty and violence, awaken the wonder of life and foster peaceful progress in the human adventure."
- John McConnell, founder of International Earth Day

RIGHT NOW, and then again tomorrow and then again the next day and on it goes day after day,
1/2 OF THE WORLD lives on LESS THAN 2 DOLLARS each day.

Psalm 27:4
One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.
Do all you can and don't worry about the odds against you. Wield the miracle of life's energy, never worrying whether we fail, concerned only that whether we fail or succeed we do so with all our might. That's all we need to know to feel certain that all our force of diligent effort is worth our while on Earth.

Clarification

I need to clarify the meat in the meat loaves. I WAS a vegetarian for 13 years. I went back to eating meat when I was in Uganda and I was bed-ridden with dysentery for 2 – 3 days. I actually thought I was going to die. But, I recovered with the help of Imodium, now considered one of my best friends. When I started eating again I decided to start eating the meat being offered and my strength returned. I never went back, but I am still not a big meat consumer, and use a lot of meat substitutes.
Philosophically I still believe eating vegetarian is the way to go.
1. Easier on planet earth
2. More humane
3. Healthier
The problem with me is that I was never really healthy as a vegetarian. I was getting sick often; extremely fatigued and actually heavier in weight than when I am not. I wish I could maintain that eating lifestyle, but it doesn’t work for me and I have decided to allow the girls to choose their eating habits on their own. They will have enough to deal with in "standing out". Believe me if they were vegetarians in my town, they would stand out and be harassed. I could tell you the hard to believe stories of harassment from the police officers all the way to Christians. So little is understood about it, and people feel threatened by it, even if you don't say anything, but just live it quietly, and I don't want to subject my girls to it unless they decide they want to take it on.

Your meatloaves, sound really good. And I have to agree with you on being a vegan is their choice. I offer meat alternatives too because I like them and Sky can decide later how she feels about it.
