Tonight we were at a fundraiser for our science department to acquire more technology for the department. Tuks came along and helped wait on tables. She followed me everywhere, and then returned the numbers back to the counter. People kept commenting on how cute she is, what a big Mama's helper, and the neat thing is she did it all with a huge smile....until she became tired. So then I whisked her on home and to bed.
It is time for another year of gourd growing. I started my seeds last week Wednesday and I already have 8 seeds potted. I have developed a new technique for the fragile seedlings. It gives them enough freedom to grow; yet they are still provided a nurturing environment for new growth.
None of my techniques have encouraged the African Kettle gourds (above)to germinate, so I have yet to have had a the chance to grow one. What is the secret?? Anyone know??
So far I have;
1 dipper seed plant..
4 Apple seed plants.
1 Bushel seed plant
Now, this year I will plant them all in a sunnier spot than last year and apply fertilizer right away.

RIGHT NOW, and then again tomorrow and then again the next day and on it goes day after day,
1/2 OF THE WORLD lives on LESS THAN 2 DOLLARS each day.
1/2 OF THE WORLD lives on LESS THAN 2 DOLLARS each day.
Psalm 27:4
One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.
One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.
Do all you can and don't worry about the odds against you. Wield the miracle of life's energy, never worrying whether we fail, concerned only that whether we fail or succeed we do so with all our might. That's all we need to know to feel certain that all our force of diligent effort is worth our while on Earth.
