"Let every individual and institution now think and act as a responsible trustee of Earth, seeking choices in ecology, economics and ethics that will provide a sustainable future, eliminate pollution, poverty and violence, awaken the wonder of life and foster peaceful progress in the human adventure."
- John McConnell, founder of International Earth Day

RIGHT NOW, and then again tomorrow and then again the next day and on it goes day after day,
1/2 OF THE WORLD lives on LESS THAN 2 DOLLARS each day.

Psalm 27:4
One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.
Do all you can and don't worry about the odds against you. Wield the miracle of life's energy, never worrying whether we fail, concerned only that whether we fail or succeed we do so with all our might. That's all we need to know to feel certain that all our force of diligent effort is worth our while on Earth.

Waiting - why it feels so bad

Why this adoption waiting feels so bad!!!
(saw this on another forum)

1. Unoccupied time feels longer than occupied time
2. Pre-process waits feel longer than in-process waits
3. Anxiety makes waits feel longer
4. Uncertain waits feel longer than known finite waits
5. Unexplained waits feel longer than explained waits
6. Unfair waits feel longer than equitable waits

So those are all working against us. Here's why they can get away with it and how we stay sane:
7. The more valuable the service, the longer the customer will wait
8. Solo waits feel longer than group waits

Awwww. I'm sorry it is so hard. I was looking at the photo at the left of your beautiful girls. Are the 2 in waiting bio sisters? I'm sorry. I am new here and not up to speed.

OMG - This is so true! Don't you ever wonder how people made it through international adoption before the days of the internet, forums and blogs. I don't think I would have survived.

I understand, the wait for me is just awful also. I don't remember it feeling so long with the girls. I know it wasn't, but I think the difference is because I have already met what I expect to get, and with the girls, I never knew them until they were mine. Hang in there. we will get through it together, on line buddies!
