"Let every individual and institution now think and act as a responsible trustee of Earth, seeking choices in ecology, economics and ethics that will provide a sustainable future, eliminate pollution, poverty and violence, awaken the wonder of life and foster peaceful progress in the human adventure."
- John McConnell, founder of International Earth Day

RIGHT NOW, and then again tomorrow and then again the next day and on it goes day after day,
1/2 OF THE WORLD lives on LESS THAN 2 DOLLARS each day.

Psalm 27:4
One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.
Do all you can and don't worry about the odds against you. Wield the miracle of life's energy, never worrying whether we fail, concerned only that whether we fail or succeed we do so with all our might. That's all we need to know to feel certain that all our force of diligent effort is worth our while on Earth.

Goldfinch in the Thistle Stalk

Rough day today, Tuks is sick with a cold and she had a sleepless night, so that means I had a sleepless night. Besides a doctor run, we stayed home all day.

Goldfinch joyfully eating on my thistle in the backyard. Watching this finch feed so vigorously made my day. It gave me reassurance that yes, my ideas may be crazy, but sometimes they sure bring joy to others.

Her facial expression says it all!!

Tuks with her doggy buds, visiting in their outdoor pen.

I love seeing the goldfinches on thistles. Tuki is so cute in these photos too! After one of those nights there is nothing like sitting back and looking at something beautiful.

Hope your girl is on the mend so you can both get some rest tonight!
Great finch photo!
I keep forgetting to ask you my bird question! There's a wood bird house on a post in our back yard (came with the house)and I haven't touched it. But I'm wondering, should I clean it out once a year or leave housecleaning to the birds?? There's some stuff sticking out of the hole so I know they're using it...
Thank you in advance for your expert consultation!
